My airco has died also after 240.000 km.
When I pushed the airco button and engaged the magnetic clutch the engine stalled, the belt tensioner started to move and suddenly sparks and smoke were generated.
I saw this happen so I switched it OFF.
And this always happens when the weather is good in the netherlands, 28 degrees and more.
If I would order a new pump it would cost me 400 euro.
Including work and regassing and tax 800 euro.
