im thinking to get a miltek system but need a few questions answered first.

is the miltek system more boomy with the 2 pipes? (like lgrees) or 3" all the way? what is better? i like what s2avant did with his but i might put a cat in aswell.

can you get diffrant style tailpipes?
i quite like the look of twin slightly oval tail pipes that evenly fit to the rs2 bumper?

ive seen a pic of one on here but cant find it
    cheers adam

Henkjan, I've got a 100 cet sports cat and ive got a 034 Sports cat as well en-route.

Going to install the 034 cat and sell the 100 cell cat.

My problem is I need new downpipe as the one on the car is 2.75" and until I've installed the Wagner EM with the new 3076r I won't know if I need a custom one or the OEM shape is an exact fit.

MRC or quattronics will do you a DP and sports cat or there's the Milltek option like I've gone for although it doesn't fit proprerly!

MRC option was expensive but you just know it'd be good, just couldn't get it done in a day so had to pull out.

same thoughts here, I now have straight pipes iso cats, but I am getting annoyed with having to swap cats back in and out every year for the APK (our version of MOT). I was thinking of running a 3" pipe from the turbo upto the end section, leaving that and the end muffler original

    check this thread : http://forum.s2power.com/s2forum/viewtopic.php?t=1230
it's in dutch, but you'll understand the pix unfourtunately the owner sold the car before he did an MOT, so we don't know if the small cat dit it's job good enough for that...

As for the sound it can be quite boomy at idle when it is cold but once the system warms up it has a nice burble to it. In normal driving it is loud but not intrusive until you push it hard when IMHO it sounds nice and purposeful without sounding OTT.

Yep it can be loud, it's louder outside than in though.

On my RS2 Milltek with the twin pipes down the centre there's no boom but it does wake the neighbours!

Having mine change to be like S2Avant's, he'll probably call me a copy cat, again!

Pity you don't know a garage that would turn a blind eye as most know its coming straight back off after the mot. Other option which is a bit more expensive is getting a new center section done to either include a cat or two or just one pipe with a cat in but problem there I guess would be it would need to split again for the milltech.
S2Avant's is the same exhaust system and downpipe.

Ideally I would like to see a picture of the exhaust with Cats in an Avant / RS2

I know how it looks in a Coupe but need a feel for what needs to be done for an Avant.

Tried one local place who then told me I needed a new 3" downpipe for £325, told them to do one

Just a thought, but alot of the local exhaust places have loads of pieces of pipe and flexi's etc in stock, perhaps a friendly word and a fw quid might get it sourced locally at a pretty good price? Last time I was at a Longlife store they had loads of bits n bobs on various shelves...
