Does anyone know if the CATS from a ABY model S2 are the same for the coupe as the avant ?.
I have an an avant and recenly bough some second hand CATS from a breakers who told me they were from a coupe, but that they were the same as the avant. However after removing mine i noticed that although the main CAT body is the same, the flange connections are different. The flanges going from the CATS to the back exhaust system appear to be more angled on the coupe model and they have an extra bit of pipe welded to the CAT before you get to the flange.
The flange going to the downpipe on one of the CAT appears to be in a different location as the piece of pipe from the CAT to the flange has more of a kink to it.
Just to get me running again (although this is not the case - see engine and turbo thread) i removed all the internals of the CATS and put mine back on.
To help me try and return them i need to get proof that they are different.
The strange thing is that the part numbers on the bottom are the same on both sets of CATS that i have.
Any thoughts ?.
