VDO do an EGT gauge for the US market in Fahrenheit, but do they do one in Centigrade?
Also, would the VEMS sensor work with that gauge?

You can program the output here. It also has 0-5V linear EGT output. You can stick a voltage divider on that if you need lower.

But then you already have a digital EGT and AFR gauge - and the display can be placed anywhere in the car...

It's for the whole kit, including the thermocouple so £200 isn't a bad price for the whole lot.

£100 for a guage could be interesting, £200 too steep for me. S2 has a boss at the top of the downpipe that a thermocouple could be fitted too.

What do you think Rusty about a VDO Vision gauges background and digital AFR and EGT?, If is possible to keep one centre vent is not a bad idea I think, if I must mount 3 different gauges, I must remove all centre vents.

Since my car is a fugly Audi 100 anyway, I'm all about function

Yeah, no worries, it's a shame that I can't find a matching AFR gauge really. Guess that VEMS item is more for people who want function over looks. If you could configure the outputs then VDO do some gauges that work off resistance (I assume thus voltage drop) and they could be calibrated to measure pretty much anything you like, as long as the output is suitable.

    AFR + EGT, 150 EUR + sensors.
But I guess custom made stuff is that much more expensive than mass produced stuff... it's all about the quantity.

Sorry for the OT, I don't mean to hijack your thread

VEMS what sorry, EGT gauge or ECU?

I posted as I've had a few enquiries so decided to look into it and from the response above, there seems to be a market for people who want a custom made gauge that matches the existing items. Obviously, hand made custom items carry a premium and the £200 is a guide, it may be more, it may be less; that all depends on exchange rates, dial manufacturing costs and how easy the dials are to actually make etc. The basic gauges and sensor kits aren't exactly cheap.

Another option is to re-work something like an inovate gauge to give digital AFR and EGT but that's serious money and won't really be a match to the other dials...

If there's another VDO Vision series gauge that will work then I'll make one of them up too, do a kit

I do wonder if a generic temperature gauge could be re-calibrated to measure IATs...

You'll have to do a kit Andy!!!

K24R Boost, AFR, and EGT in a nice panel to replace the centre vents??
