Looking underneath last night I think lowering them would cause one of the motors to foul that centre rail anyway

I find the height adjustment poor, the front is far too high and you can't lower them enough. The are awful with a helmet on too....

Apart from the points above, they are great seats. Especially if they are heated during the cooler months.
Interesting, I had just presumed all these subframes were the same, these are Recaro branded and have 3 position height adjusters front and back

    Nope, nothing like that

I'm going to give them another few days and see if I can get used to the underneath of my thigh being mashed into the seat every time I change gear or pull away. If not, then they're up for sale, I don't want to butcher them when someone can enjoy them as they were from the factory.

Jack I am 5' 8 and find mine just right, they take a bit of getting used to compared to the stock seats as they give a different driving position.
IIRC Skull modified his to sit lower, as he is a tall chap and his head hit the roof
I will see if i can find the post

Well I'm not a tall chap at all The problem is I either have my legs bent too close to 90 degrees for my liking because the seat's too high or I lower (tilt) the base and then my leg is prevented from straightening out comfortably due to the height of the front of the base.

I'll get my torch out and see if mine adjust like Andy's

It is a more permanent adjustment than having a lever but it can be adjusted with the seat installed in the car.

No mine are manual, but I don't think there is a difference in the base , but maybe I'm wrong.

The Recarro seat base I have has 3 height positions at the back and the front, just remove the bolt and it moves up and down.

I'm 5ft 10 and I find it comfy set with the rear at its lowest and the front in the middle hole.
