I'm taking the car to star performance next week to get the alignment done on their Beissbarth Touchless 4wheel system..., interested to see how it works.

Always had my wheels aligned at Jeff Fowlkes in Ibstock, gret service and the car has always felt 100% after driving out of there, and the even allowed me into the workshop to watch and get in the pit under the car to check a few otjher things while I awas there, Expensive though but worth it

Beissbarth Touchless 4wheel alignment system , apparently just drive onto the system, no need for all the usual bits and pieces to be bolted onto wheels, doing away with potential damage and obviously saving a wee bit of time, there's an open day valeting/RR session up there on March 11, where they're doing alignment for £20
Could have done with this on April the 11th instead! I don't have all the bits for suspension revamp no 2 yet but will have it done by the end of the month.
Star did my alignment the last time and were fine - and that was at the old place...

Suffice to say, I said, no thanks, and no service either....
I found a very new small garage, who spent ages working on it, with me holding things and generally making sure they were doing the right thing...
All was perfect, charged me £250, including parts, NSF wheel bearing and anti roll bar link rods.
I ent back the following day, as they had a new 4 wheel alignment machine... They spent 7 hours, as most bolts were seized, tie rods very very seized (surprse, surprise)
Computer printout before and after, correct model, correct alignment, all for...wait for it...
£20
The one good thing about living in a place like this, labour is cheap...just very hard to find anyone who is willing to either learn about or work on anything except a 1970 Renault 12
Anyway, its ok now, just need a new brake bomb...
(Ohj, and beer is about 20 pence a litre, Vodka around the same...)
Blimey! That sounds like good service, Can you get these guys to set up a garage for us in the Uk plz, Obviously Labour at Romanian rates and they can bring plenty of Beer at 20p/l too

Did my fronts today with two pieces of string and a tape measure
.
Formed a perfectly parallel grid around the car and took measurements to the front and rear edge of each wheel rim.
Job done and its millimetre perfect now.
Cost = Nothing.
No monkeys messing round with my car and both my front adjusters were not seized - result
Pete.

Apologies in advance for those who feel it heretical to reference a detailing forum from the Suspension & Steering Section
