My steering rack(non servotronic) has been leaking for some time now,nothing serious as i never had to add any fluid at all,except today and that was merely 100ml.The leak is visible and as Rob(GT500) suggested there might be a way of tightening a bolt from inside the car that might make a difference.
Anyway,my question is,in case i decide to replace it,or take it out for a service,is it possible to have it shortened as well,like the one that 034 is selling?That is because i already have a steering rack lying in the basement in Greece and i was wondering if i could renew and upgrade that,and have it ready for replacing only.(which is a pita job i know...but..)
is there a shop that can do that here in the UK?
