i dont have cab but i have found that the s2 coupe and the 80 16vq have many parts the same in the suspension regions. cant help on 2wd rear though

other than the 4 and 5 stud differences and cv sizes my 16v has exactly the same rear as the s2 coupe.

16v springs are same size as s2 physically. abs sensors the same...

i have a set of hr 2wd springs if measurements would help here. new, unused for sale also.

Cab and coupe rears are different. The shock insert is about 4" longer on a coupe to cab. They can be made to fit with spacers however it's a little ghetto

OT a bit, but 8G0 parts are very handy as sometimes (ha! sometimes) parts for the S2 are NLA but some parts on the cab are identical but start with 8G0, thats what I mean that the part no is different but the part might not be.

This is a great thread Yaz.We can all learn something important here.I hope more information comes out.

I particularly found interesting the Ellipsoidal headlamp later V6 cabriolets had the S2 front suspension set up just the 4 x 108 hub being different. Now i know why i like our 2.8 cabriolet,it feels quite different to my 80 2.6 V6 avant. As ever more research is needed perhaps someone putting up a photo of side by side comparisons.I could photograph a complete shock spring setup from A 90 2.3 20V 7A if you want.Just let me know.

This does make sense, so basically full setup won't fit then?

This is what I'm unsure about... I am fairly certain the fronts are the same.

The front setup on the later V6 cabs (ellipsoid headlight models) has the same setup has the ABY S2, except the hubs are 4x108. the older and smaller engine sized variants have the same setup as the lower spec coupes.

in this forum, people may have the org catalog in pc... some are eployed by audi, so i think you have to try the setup with PN... have a closer look in the bushings area too.. and the top baering/ rubber in top of the shock in front end... change the lot, and you does have a "new" car...
