If you are looking for someone in the States, I would recommend EFI Express. Mark rebuilt my FYF trans a couple of years ago. Updated 1st/2nd gear shift collar and a .56 Tdi 6th gear. I trans shift smoothly and have had no problems. There are a couple of track days on this trans also.

Marc is the man. Never really thought of him for transmissions, good tip!

I would definitely change the 1st 2nd collar when it’s in bits. I managed to lock one up which was the only failure I ever had on a gearbox.

I’ve got a spare cgr gearbox apart I was told it was ok but I would like to get a rebuild kit with carbon synchros well it’s apart is there a company that does this in uk or USA thanks Michael
