I believe to read somewhere in the forum a comment from either Pasbogdan or Pirvu Eugen about modifying the 5 speed linkage to fit 6 speed but I am not sure. Does it ring a bell? -
Okey thanks sound nice.. now i just have to find a good one with low milage onit.Leave a comment:

Use S2 6 speed linkage if you already have it. Need one spacer on the plate on top of the box as mentioned earlier. DVG box from A8/S8 is also an option (I'm running one on my CQ) and old S4 V8's (code CMG?) also had oil pump in transmission.Leave a comment:

).

You maybe right, I have never seen one. I was told the DSY & EDU both have the internal pump & fittings for the cooler, maybe it is just the DSY

The standard 6 speed linkage works with it, if I remember right all you need is one spacer washer on one of the gearbox mounts, everything else is just straight swap.
I will be finding out soon as I have one in my garage waiting to go on my car.Leave a comment:

I`m on my 4th season with a stock 01e from a 96 RS2. The oil gets hot off course but no issues besides that. It kinda depends if your going to use it for race or not. If only for trackdays, you run typically 5-6rounds with 1lap for cooling. In racing you will drive for a longer periode and the demands for cooling increases.Leave a comment:
or am i mistaking?
