I'm going to install a Sachs SRE clutch to my 3B over the Christmas break, I want to fit a new release bearing while I'm in there as well as a new slave cylinder. What brand bearings are considered to be the best quality, OE Audi?

Has anybody tried the SRE one? ÂŁ40 v ÂŁ20 for a standard sachs one seems like good value for money if it holds up (I would hope so running a full SRE plate, disc and throw out bearing?Current-2004 Impreza PPP wagon

My INA one was about ÂŁ35 IIRC1989 B3 2.0 3A 80 quattro... Budget 1.8T Project.

I was going to get a new one when I did the RS2 set up but forgot to buy one
and only realised when I when to put the engine back in. I couldn't be bothered waiting
so I just went with the old one, 10k miles later and its still fine.
