    Buyer Beware!!!!

I ordered some Sachs clutches from a leading German car parts supplier about a month ago and 7 LUK ones turn up, so i sent them back as asked for Sachs,i was told they would be ordered with Sachs and i would get them in a few weeks, anyway 2 weeks passed and 7 what i thought Sachs clutches turn up,thought great but on closer inspection all the Sachs part numbers had been attempted to be removed and there own part number stuck over the top and sellotaped over, needless to say they were the Luk cluthes and they swapped the boxes over!!!

That is shocking. If it were me, I would contact trading standards for advice as you suggested.

Are Sachs and LUK not part of the same group? I thought it was common knowledge that they swapped stock?

They are not no but they do buy from each other and you do get both makes in the one box but i only supply the Sachs kit as what they supply works

Was curious about this myself, my Avant has a Sachs/LUK clutch kit as you can see its stamped Sachs with a LUK sticker

It possible you might have supplied it, certainly i have the receipt for the new flywheel bought from you in 2007

Hi i bought a Sachs set out of germany. I got it home opened the sachs box and this is what i found. It is from LUK with a sticker sachs on it. Is this normal? (Copied pics from other member here)

My OEM from Audi (TPS) came in a Sachs box but had an LUK friction plate with Sachs pressure plate

It could be that the LUK item meets OEM and Sachs are saving some cash - not sure but it all works fine - for now......
