A std 710N valve was about £25 last time I bought one, if you're running much more boost now, try the Forge spring kit first.

I have personally tested the 710N to boost pressures in excess of 2.4 bar.
What's the point of the forge valve? Bling?

Just fit the the 710N and forget your problems

If you wanted it, I've got a brand new plastic S3 DV tucked away somewhere?

yes darren if you find it give me a nod ill prob take it, when you pressure test my car air comes out of my dv dropping my boost pressure, so its got to go, i dont think its worth £25 for another spring when i can sell the dv to someone running a 1.8t and it would be right for them, fancy dvs have never gaind me nothing over the factory original

The valve will leak if you test it without the engine running. When the engine is running boost if fed to the top chamber of the valve which helps the spring hold it shut. When you're testing it you're relying on spring pressure alone which is why it's leaking.

You could fit a stronger spring and get it to seal on a leak test, then you will find it's too strong on the road and the turbo will stall BTDT!

thanks for that andy it was tested with the engine off but i think it still may be too weak a spring im getting 27psi and i can see the boost gauge drop off and not hold boost i believe this is my only place i could have a leak after plently of checks.

does anybody know if the spring in the forge split-r is replaceable for a fact? im not sure if its only the 007 dv that can change its spring

                Wait a minute...
Do you expect it to hold 27 psi to redline?
What kind of turbo are you running? 3076?

no its peaks at 27psi then tapers off to 20psi and hold stable im running a k24 hybrid, even auto mark tuning did not think this turbo could boost that much but he tested my gauge and agreed it was putting that out

Uhm, so what exactly is wrong?
Well besides the fact that running 27 psi on a K24 hybrid is stupid and the turbo won't last long... nor the head with such EGT's.

It's supposed to taper. The comp wheel does not flow more.
