  • Heated front seats/elements

I'm having some work done on my RS2, does anyone know where I can get some suitable heating elements to install in the seats if I have them reupholstered.

I bought a pair of these to put in my caravelle at some point. They come with wiring and switches but I am going to use original VW switches/wiring so that it looks factory.

Nice one, I'll send that link the boys fixing up my car and they'll pass it on to their seat guys and let me know if it's a goer.

Bumping this in case anyone knows of any heated seat elements going around, even out of a A4, really keen to get hold of a good set, most of the items on Ebay just aren't any good..

        Thanks...

Hey, thanks for that. I can't seem to get the partacus website to respond though. I enter my details into the contact form along with a message, click 'send' and nothing happens!!!

That website is ********, both Recaro elements are NLA and Audi Tradition can't/won't help. I've been trying to get some for ages.
I've decided to adapt a set of stock coupe elements to work, BTDT for another forum member a few years ago it was a lot of work!

Well I've written a message to both those websites, I'll see if they get back to me and what, if anything, they say...

Have you tried these before fitting them? I bought something similar off Ebay and they were rubbish, nothing like OEM heat.

Try wiring them up to a battery and sitting on them before you have them put on the seats

Yes I've come across those before, wasn't entirely convinced of their robustness and general quality. I may have come up with a solution with Kit anyway. Thanks all the same ☺

Why not just get a set of heated seats and rip them apart for the elements, BMW, Audi, merc etc?

I fancy chucking a set in my Recaro Speeds.

I think Kit's found someone who's cannibalising some seats in Europe for good £££ so should hopefully be good

Sounds good, if not there are a BMW heated seats for £80 on gumtree, would be worth it for a good set of elements, my mate has a set and they can properly cook you.

The nice thing about the OEM ones is the built in thermostat and adjustable dial, nice to be able to crank the ****er up to 6 then dial it down when it gets toasty
