left hand side if you have an avant or aby coupe, and right hand side if its a 3b. iirc.

Early 3Bs had it on the right, along with another model badge on the left, (I think quattro) but later models simply had the S2 badge just on the left - in both cases with the Audi Rings in the middle. The latter is less cluttered and looks better.Ex S2 owner, now running around in an A4 Avant quattro...

Left of course.
The badge's lower left corner is the reference point, 2.5cm horizontally from the body gap and 2 cm vertically.
