    RS2 Servicing in London

    Hello readers!

Hopefully picking up the RS2 on Saturday, can't wait!

With respect to servicing are there really no reputable garages within the M25?? Most peeps are pointing me towards The Auto Pool or Kim Collins place in Sussex.

Maybe i've been spoilt with 911 ownership where i had loads of options.

    Cheers for now

    Hi Shirish,

not being a londoner, I'm not quite sure which side of the M25 this is, and its prob wrong side of london for you(??) but I did come across this company when searching for specialists. I know they have dealt with at least one RS2 in the past for a sustained period. Could be many more, i don't know, but i did see a car that they had maintained.

Anyone else ever come across them?

    Tim

Despite living in London I have never found a reliable/reasonably priced place to get my RS2 serviced, although I have never tried Autopool in Iver. I have always ended up travelling many miles to a few select garages, leaving the car with them for a few days and taking the train home and then back.

Even with the additional cost of the train I have always found it more economical than using local London garages and I am more than happy to spend a day travelling to use a garage who know what they are doing.

I used Dialynx in Swindon for a long time, but not any more .......

More recently I have used and been very happy with:
Tom at RCMR in Yeovil - http://www.rcmr.co.uk/

Tim at QRSport in Chester - http://www.qrsport.com/

I would be more than happy to use Doug at MRC Tuning in Banbury - http://www.mrctuning.com/

Good luck and I will be interested to hear your feed back if you use Autopool and also let me know if you find any other worthy garages.

      Angus

ps Never come across Quattro Concepts.
pps Kim Collins has mixed feed back, Some people love him and some people don't.

Hey Tim, nice one, thanks for that

Having looked at it on Multimap, looks fairly straightforward for me to get to. The other side of London from me, but do-able.

Angus - thanks for your info. I see you travel quite a way to get yours serviced. I've heard good things about MRC and Autopool. I'm sure MRC will be seeing me soon, asking for their chip wizardry. Why no longer use Dialynx?? I saw one of their S1 conversions on sunday, looked stunning!

AudiPartsGuru - thanks for the headsup. Think I'll give Quattro C a go and report back. What are their facilities like? Comparable to Autopool??

Havent even got the car yet, but i'll let you know how I get on!

          Cheers

            Just an update on servicing,

was planning to go to Quattro Concepts, but when I called them a female answered, with a screaming baby in close attendance, confirming that I had indeed rung QC and not a creche.....not the best first impression IMHO. Then I sent them an itemised list of work I wanted done, I didnt get a reponse. Called them and again was told they'd get back to me...still no repsonse.

            So MRC it was then......

Doug and Mihnea completed quite a list in a day:

Oil (Silkolene Pro S 10w/50 - sounds smooth!)
            Air filter
            Fuel Filter
            Pollen Filter
            Spark Plugs
            Gearbox Oil
            Diff Oil
            PAS fluid
            Coolant
Waterpump (Belts done 5k ago at Audi but no pump change)
            Thermostat
            IC Hose mod, O ring
            Diverter valve

Car feels great, much perkier and no hesitation to the limiter as there was before. Happy bunny and reasonably priced too - hate to think what Audi would have charged me for this

I have used Autopool in the past and can recommend them... Good guys with a LOT of Audi knowledge.

I may well be giving MRC a go in the future though. I need another big service later this year.

I would also be interested to know how much that list cost you at MRC?

                  Cheers,
