S2 salon/sedan's

Hello guys

this thread promoted by seeing quattroamm selling his audi 90

but im wandering as ive been a search on the forum was there ever a original S2 salon/sedan? as there is a few on the forum?

or are they all V6 or 2.2 quattro converted? and if so is the 4x4 system on the audi 90 quattro the same as the S2's? etc

reason i ask as im in the market for a S2 i rather have a 4 door than a coupe (upgrading form the corrado) but im not the biggest fan of estate so a salon like a S4 would be cool but i prefer the S2 engine.

AFAIK all the saloons were LHD.

so if i want one in the uk its got to be a conversion?

if thats the case whats the best base model to start off with? as ive got all the stuff to do engine conversions etc so not skin of my nose might be a good way to show of a part time business me and a friend are starting

i cent get enough of sleeper's i know my corrado isnt one but i didnt build it for that ive had others for that kind of fun

the mian one has been my mate's uno turbo i know a few people on here will laugh but this thing mental

its on it third shell due to the power its got (pkus fiats arent that good lol) but this thing once made a diablo look like it was going backwards its that quick my mate now got bored of the power and has gone individual throttle bodies and bigger turbo hopefully we will have this running again this year and back up at santa pod

I would go for a estate but im nto a fan plus if they break into it alot easir to get into the back atleast with a salon its locked away

that is true not so in ur face a bit like my friends C43 AMG

so whats the best base to start on?

im guessing def has to be 91> onwards due to the face lift

so just leaves me with audi 80 quattros which are just V6 ?
