The final edition had the 20v 4 pot mill, and was even more sedentary than the older ones.

Just noticed this car has a 20v 1.8 litre in it, did Audi make them like that? I thought the 1.8 was the single cam golf engine
For the last couple of years of production, Audi fitted the normally aspirated 1.8 20v ADR engine to the Cabriolet. Not one of Audi's better engines unfortunately
The final edition also has the A4 instrument cluster.... Just a pity they didn't make a 1.8T quattro version as its nearly all B3 underneath looks a very classy car though

I'm afraid that's not true Jon. All cabrio's made between 1992 and 2000 had separate speedo, rev counter, temp gauge and fuel gauge units in the dash, these can subsequently be changed individually if need be. The A4 dash pod is one complete unit, if you have a faulty gauge then you must change the whole unit

I'm afraid they didn't build a 1.8T Cabrio, the only 1.8 engine that was fitted to the Cabrio was the ADR 125 BHP lump. Having said that, they did build a 1.9TDI version but this was never officially imported in to the UK.
