Cheers Dean - think you're right and i'm a strong believer in fate......onward and upward etc etc.
Tim - me too mate, never had a car stolen before....amazing what emotions you go through.
Not sure what's coming next. Maybe another 1987-89 911, was even thinking a classic Alfa Giulia Coupe 1750/2000GTV......
Its gonna be fun, whatever I get!
Best regards,

Lost for words after staring at those images, shouldn't have happened to a decent bloke like Shirish and a top car that he owned.
I enjoyed every minute of working on her and you can be safe in the knowledge that because of her other RS2's can also have the same upgrade's.
Sad, sad day.
An Alfa??? wouldn't be the same fitting Porsche brakes to one of them

Wow... those pics are quite disturbing. I hope, at least a few parts are salvageable and can help other RS2s live on - more that I can sat for those bastid's if you ever catch them!
I've been a victim of theft, but never to this kinda degree, and it really has ya just gutted & frustrated. All I can say is that I hope justice prevails (though in this country I'm afraid I don't have much faith in that...)AUDI - saving Dad's from minivans since 1994

Shocking!
It's makes me sick to my guts that people who can do that to someone's property exist.
Looks to me like they have tried to lever open the bonnet - Shirish, gain some solace that the thick idiots obviously spent a while trying to find the release lever, unsuccessfully. They probably burned it out of frustration. Brain-dead morons.
Still, fate has it's reasons - the car obviously wasn't meant to be, and at least you can salvage a little cash for the front bumper and lights.
Gutted for you fella and I hope you get something spot-on as a replacement.
Nothing feels fast for long...

Gutting mate, my condolenses. Think the bonnet was more likely damaged by 'trumpton' who will have arrived to a burning motor, unable to get to the bonnet release without getting on fire they will have butchered the bonnet to put out any flames under it.
Again, sorry bout your ride dude!Ragusa Coupe gone!

Hello readers
Just to draw the curtain on this episode, finally got an offer of £13000 from Ensign, which i'm pretty happy with.
They've not been the most efficient company to deal with, but seems they've come good with the offer.....i was expecting a four-figure offer in all honesty.
So the hunt for the replacement starts in earnest, really not sure which way to go. I'm thinking German again, but such a wide choice at this price....Who knows....
Anyway, thanks to everyone who answered my simple-simon questions pre/post ownership and all the assistance along the way.
Cheers for now, its been emotional.......
