    A4 TDI Imobilizer Fault?

HELP! I have a MY98 A4 1.9 TDI. The centre part with the computer bit in the dash fades almost into nothing when the cabin gets warm but it nearly perfect when cold, so i pulled out the binnicle to have a peep. Quickly found what i thought, i cant fix it! So i put it back.

NOW the bloody car wont start!! The yellow key (presumingly imobilizer light) is flashing with the ignition on. It starts and then imediatly cuts out? I guess the car needs recoding to the keys, question is how? oops? can of worms comes to mind

    Any help greatly appreciated

    cheers

go to the rosstech website and download the manual in pdf it should be in there, have you got the full version?as the unregistered version may not let you do it.I believe its quite simple.

Earlier a4's have often reading coil faults. Your car is sligtly newer than they usually are, but I'd still guess the key reader is faulty.
