    New RS6 in testing ...

According to Autocar the new RS6 has been spotted testing at the 'Ring and it'll have a twin turbo'ed 529bhp version of the Lambo derived V10. Not bad.

They've also managed to snap some pics shich show fat twin tailpipes, larger front brake ducts and an intercooler/oil cooler poking out the bottom of the front bumper!

Am I the only one that think that is a fake?

First time I see a "proto" on track without any mask, tape etc. And that RS badge at back...

That engine would be sweet, but wider flares will the chassis need.

Why does it only have a few bhp more than the atmo Lambo? Are they going for a smooth low small pressure turbo Makes food for the tuners though, both Audi and Lambo that is!

From what I recall reading in the motoring mags there's actually not as much in common as you'd have thought between the Audi V10 and the Lambo V10. I guess the turbos are required to give a suitable Audi-like power delivery?

It's definitely not a production S6. If you look at the front bumper/spoiler arrangement it's actually very different to the S6. It has a larger, differently shaped intakes either side, and a very definite splitter at the base.

              They don't make out it's a 'finished' RS6 ... just a development hack.

It makes no sense for Audi to twin-turbo anything at the moment with the way their engine development is going. Audi is going hi-tech normally aspirated petrol, that much is obvious from the RS4, the S6 and S8s, and also the R8.

It looks a nice car, but to me it looks like an S6 with a new bodykit.

So many of these so-called scoop stories are mulch.

What a waste! I thought this was the main plus for Audi and Mercedes above BMW...
And with diesels nearing the 100 bhp and 200 Nm per litre I do believe they have a good reason to go forced induction... And with current tubocharger technology they could go for it! Funny enough they claim better power figures for there new atmo engines but this is only due to bigger capacity... Maybe it is all down to the strategy of the VAG and a new RS4 if bi-turbo'd would eat a Lambo, because it could have 600 bhp if it was 4.2 litre... I am sure they would not want that!

I seen a new rs6 saloon at the lights about 3 weeks ago. I had to look twice, and even wound my window down and asked the lady.

It was new shape, hard 4 chrome exhausts at back, lots of chrome everywhere, v10 on the side, and a lady driver who had difficulties figuring it out, like the window switch. After she figured that bit out she said she was test driving it.

Im not going dillusional, it had RS6 badges. someone must of build a blag and selling privatly?

Also seen a plain standard A6 in delears with v10 engine (badge)?

Impossible, the new RS6 isn't for sale yet, production hasn't even begun yet, only prototypes exist...
