    RS2 in evo

was it anyone on here's car that they used in the "£10k heroes" feature?

it was a rather tidy looking blue avant...

Yes the review was rubbish IMO, the RS2 got a slating and a very small writeup.

    There's a thread up on RS246 here : http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=...wtopic&t=58449

Think one of the Guys on there owns it.

    Cheers

I thought as a whole the article was an enjoyable read but fairly flawed in how they had approached it. Several of the particular cars they used were a whole world away from a version you could actually get for £10K.

I thought the RS2 was quite hard done by really - they stated that the dampers seemed fairly poor ("feeling the miles" was more or less how they put it) More accurately I would have said it was feeling the towing. The owner states he bought it origninally as a tow car and from the fact that my previous scooby was a tow car I know what it does to the dampers (and thus the handling) of a car like that.

They had got a point about the lag though.. if its anything like Ross's (almost)RS2 then the scooby has much better pick up.

Also I know the Esprit wasnt the one they had originally chosen for the test but I think more should have been made of that - after all any Esprit you get for £10k is going to be a complete shed next to the one they had there.
