    Potential purchase

    Hi Guys,

Potentially buying an S2 this Monday, and wondering on a couple of things - where is the best place to get RS2 mirrors, carbon trim, and full black interior or the non leather? Is it easy to retro fit heated seats if sticking with black leather? I know lots of questions - sorry. Also is white leather desirable? What are the usual things to look out for?

    Thanks

    Ché

RS2 Mirrors you may be able to pick up second hand or via Audi tradition or on S2forum here. Paul (s2central.net) is stripping his S2 out so could be worth getting in touch as he has a full black interior if it hasn't already sold.

stickinsect did a heated seat conversion back in the day so it is doable.

Have a look at the buyers guide on the guides section. The main thing is checking that it has been well maintained, mileage is less of an issue. S2's don't like to be sat around not doing anything for long periods

Thanks for the reply, I’ll check out tradition - I’ve tried to use it for some things for my TT and it’s a nightmare. I’m guessing that the carbon interior is NLA, along with genuine RS2 bumpers. Just trying to find the part numbers for everything.

Any nice engine tidy up kits - saw a nice Audi sport one, and I’d probably replace pipes to silicone, used Forge for my TT, what’s best for the S2?

Was thinking S8 Avus alloys to keep OEM theme with maybe some Porsche brakes depending on what’s recommended.

your part list is realy not the cheapest if bought new and all can be bought new. porsche brakes are the way to go and and there are a few members that sell brakes new.

Welcome - please have a look at my recent for sale threads on here for some trim parts and all OE black jacquard satin seats removed from mine. The drivers seat will obviously benefit from a re-trim, but the price reflects that.

I have not put the door cards & rear panels up for sale yet - they have the lush OE carbon inserts - and a brand new set of door seals with them... I was wanting to see source some other front door cards (however ugly) that I can modify for my needs - I don't want to rip up my door cards. I have the carbon insert in the dashboard too.

Feel free to post any other questions about your potential new purchase - that car is probably known to some folk on here already - its not like there are loads of these rolling around .

Test drive went well yesterday, didn’t seem to be any issues- well looked after. The seller is thinking my offer over, had prearranged a viewing today so only time will tell.

Thanks Paul, I would like to get Home fried too as well

if if I did purchase all of that would you take my interior as exchange too - maybe even swap it over for me

The last thing I need is another interior - I am stripping my car as part of extreme diet before fitment of some scaffolding pipes !

Except Audi Tradition is so broken and embarrassing that you cannot actually buy one - even if your fricking lottery numbers came up !

Yes used as an example to show dress up kit. Lol cabin crew, mines a Quattro sport “the special” TT. Here’s the standard interior.
