You can use a later engine rear main seal which has a trigger wheel built into it - I think it is off the 1.8t, but will let someone else confirm.

Does that fit on the engine without changes?

        What's your ECU/setup?
I'm guessing your refering to the crank trigger?
If you're using a standalone that doesn't support Audi trigger then I seem to remember some vems guys back in the day using the trigger wheel mentioned above, from memory it was a 60-2 from a VW lupo or some such.

I’m using a KMS MP25 ecu it only works with a 60-2 triggerwheel. But my question is how can I connect my triggerwheel to my crankshaft pulley? Here are some pictures of the parts https://ibb.co/v4jT653

            Ah,I see.
            check out the link:

This is the way I'd go,if you were planning on mounting a trigger wheel on the front pulley I suspect the fact they're all old and worn could have implications with run out and trigger errors.

I have both 60-2 lightweight flywheel for 7A & S2 or 60-2 rear main seal kit, both in stock

              https://www.ultraperformance.co.uk/s...?keywords=60-2

Mounting on the front pulley is a bad idea.

                      "I have a plan" for winter 2021/22.

And it doesn't involve a turbo, so a 7A lightened flywheels sounds ace.

Alex, that flywheel looks fantastic makes me want to re start what i had deemed a 'finished' project

How would a zero balanced flywheel work with an engine that has been balanced as an assembly by vibration free? They span up crank, pistons, flywheel, clutch and front pulley as one. I dont know what of anything came off my flywheel...
