S6 Plus Knob

First time posting in the forum. Does anyone know how to fix the cap of the Audi S6 Plus shifter knob? It seems like all the original ones have this issue, but I can't find any info online. The cap has some type of foil that’s started peeling off. I’m not sure what's underneath—whether it’s just clear protection or part of the cap itself. Can this foil be removed and replaced? Also, can the knob be disassembled like the Audi TT one (third picture)? If anyone has done this or has info, please share! Thanks!

The foil is likely just protective, and peeling it off should reveal the underlying cap. The knob can be disassembled, but it may require a different technique than the TT one.
