cheers for that, I might still go over and see it but I had thought there must be a reason it had been for sale all this time

I've also been looking at this car a fair bit on 'trader. Tempted to take the S2 up there and sound interested in the car to see what their like! Can't really afford 18k as a student though!!!!

I was planning on going to look at this at the weekend. What sorts of things did previous people spot wrong with it? Just general scuffs, discoloured paint and ripped interior? Or mechanical faults?

                So is:

Just serviced by Dialynx, Full MOT, Biblical service history with this vehicle. Immaculate vehicle

                Just utter lies?

Does anyone have any information on the red one on Pistonheads?

I've still not had chance to go look at it cause I was working all weekend, but I will do as it's only about 10 miles from me. I'm prepared to be dissapointed though the price has been dropped by nearly £15,000 since it's been on sale cause it was originally up for £29,995!!!
My gut feeling is that any car dealer worth his salt would have packed it off to a classic auction by now if it was good enough to make big money. I don't know of many used car dealers who can afford to keep £30k on the forecourt for so long and then suddenly make the decision to drop the price and give it away!?

I've just looked at the pictures of this car and it appears to be a Dialynx conversion using the original UR Quattro windscreen angle which in my opinion doesn't suit their short wheelbase conversion.

Would be interesting to see what state the car is in though
S2 Avant......fully loaded   Slipper Wagons Rule !!!!!

I actually honestly prefer the shallower windscreen angle as compared to a real Quattro so that's not a problem.
I've been sent more pictures of the car, and from the pictures it looks clean enough, but you can never tell from pictures. Even my banged up Polo looks perfect in a picture.
