Hello everyone,
I have a 1992 Audi 100 S4 that hasnt been used much over the years, only occasionally by my father. A couple of weeks ago, I gave it a wash and took it for a drive, but I noticed it was running on only four cylinders.
I decided to order an ignition upgrade to replace the old coil setup with R8 coils, using a harness similar to the Apikol (TOM) one. I installed everything, but the car is still running on four cylinders.
After checking, I found that the only coil not sparking is on cylinder #1. I also swapped the injector, but the issue remained. Im guessing the problem could be that the ECU isnt sending a pulse to cylinder #1, or theres an issue with the injector wiring. I checked the plug on injector #1, and there is power. Could be oxidation in the ECU Plug?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much!
