Another Audi Victory at Le Mans

only one of the 3 audi tdi's which started the race completed it but it was importantly the winner

bit square eyed after watching the coverage for about 21hrs on Motors TV, two pretty huge crashes for the 2 audi's which didnt finish and Mcnish was simply awesome through the night, lapping at seriously fast speeds in the cool air.
Peugeot took 2nd position and Pescarolo were 3rd.

Who knows, we *might* one day get an S2 convoy organised to LM though i guess only if it doesn't clash with Inters Hope you guys had a good day..

    Cheers

I would have loved to see Tom Kristenssen win another one! He's gotta be my favorite driver right now... him and Lewis Hamilton. But it's always good to see Audi on top still, no matter whos driving.
I did love how the Puegeot team where changing all their aero dynamics just to try and lap nearly as fast as the audis were! Sebastian Bourdais was getting very frustrated

I would have been happy to see a Pescarolo win! At least they got two cars home in the top four and I think three overall?

We still make a chunk of bodywork for the winning car so I guess I can still claim to have a part in the victory (smarm!) ...but we also made the Creation chassis which sadly was out sometime around the exit of the Joest Audi, apparently all three Creatio Autosportif drivers managed to shunt the car at some stage.

Peugeot will be back (and faster) - remember this was their first attempt since the days of the 905 Gp C (unless you count the WR cars in more recent years). Audi debuted with a podium when the R8 arrived on the scene - and so have Peugeot.

yeah be interesting to see how they both develop now, Audi had to work hard this year and Peugeot have probably learnt a shed load, not least those stupid side vents preventing hand access to the rads to clean out the crap which was getting the cars too hot...

Remember Pescarolo was pug powered I think in 2003 but yeah as a total package the grp C was the last time.

Anyone going to the LMES 1000KM at Silverstone in Sept?

Hmmm ....maybe ....but I doubt I can get freebie tickets now!

I mentioned that we make a piece of the bodywork on the winning Audi -

(The chunk with TDI written on it, as it happens!)

This year we also made the chassis, nosebox and rollover structures for the Creation Autosportif CA/07 - seen here in it's "Children of Le Mans" livery -

...sadly this car was a DNF, having been shunted at least three times! The top of the diff casing was broken when it crashed in the Porsche Curves.
