Info needed on S2 Avants urgently

I have found an S2 Avant but before I look at it can someone answer a few Qs to ensure it IS an S2 I am going to see before I have my time wastes.

Q1. Do all S2 avants have clear/white front indicators?

Q2. Do all S2 avants have roof rails?

Q3. What colours were they available in?

Q4. Are there any K Reg S2 Avants?

Q5. What is the maximum mileage I should be considering?

Q6. What are the differences between the years of S2 Avant?

Q7. Were heated seats an optional extra, if not where do you guys reckon the heated seats came from?

Some quick answers on these would me much appreciated chaps.

Q2. Yes, unless they take them off.

Q5. If its got FSH then i wouldn't be put off by up to about 150,000 as long as its been looked after.

Q7. Knowing audi i would of thought that this would of been an optional extra.

Q1 - No...Early cars had orange

Q2 - No - Again some early cars were built without them.

Q3 - There's a Pole thread on here somewhere with most of the colours on.

Q4 - Yes... Usually started life as VAG Demonstrators.

Q5 - Depends on how well looked after the car is (sorry, not a lot of help).

Q6 - As the build progressed, wheels changed to Avus, the front lamps changed, the indicators went clear, the airbag arrived erm.. Roofrails and air-con were not optional any more... Think that's about it.

Q7 - Yes.

Oooh, didn't know you could get an early s2 avant without roof rails, never seen one of those. My apologies.

Yes, there have even been occurances of RS2s without roof rails, although I believe this was only an option in mainland Europe...

Sending my dad to check out a 93 Avant, Indigo Blue, no rails, orange blinkers, nice wheels (like S3), 109000 miles and history to 107000. Hope its nice. Bit older than I wanted but if its right I'll be joining the S2 club, can't wait.

Don't be put off by age or mileage. Buy on condition only. My S2 coupe has 165,000 miles on it and drives like new. No seriously it does. They do need looking after though so if there ISN'T a folder full of bill and an comprehensive service history walk away.

My S2 Avant did not come with rails, it was a 1993. My buddys RS2 did not have rails either.
