Can't seem to find them anywhere, appart from some fully restored ones which are wanting 70.000Euros!
What are the replicas like? And what sort of money do these go for? Might be a bit more well off in a year or two so could move towards one if I'm lucky!

...ever since I floored you I knew that I loved you!
Classic car magazine sometimes throws out one or two,but usually going for megabucks.
AFAIK Dialynx do one of the most common swb conversions, and most of those as you probably know are running S2 running gear

Ragussa green avant RS2+ spec
Racing blue Octavia VRS mk2 estate-Remapped now to 250 bhp
Audi coupe gt-slow as hell but loads of character-sold
AFAIK Dialynx built 18 replicas. There is/was a red one for sale recently that Steve (the owner of the 440bhp gunmetal coloured shorty) was looking for as it is one of the only shortys built by Dialynx that makes more power than his.
Its a dream really and I need to start earning some proper money, but lets say if I found one for £15k... thats focus money! (I know I know, running costs... bleh- miles per gallon? Nah- Smiles Per Hour!!)
I think its probably the only car for under 20k that you could turn up at any kind of car meet (be it chavy, vintage, power or any other marque) and be really welcomed. For me it would have to be a jet black one, Deep-dished 5spokes and proper retro yellow headlamps!

ABY Cricket Green Pearl Coupe, blk leather
THE ONLY TROUBLE WITH DOING NOTHING IS KNOWING WHEN YOUR FINISHED!!!
I nearly brought one a few years back, from a chap in Surrey only done 2,000 miles he wanted £25,000 bit of a stretch at the time. Think it sold overseas. It was not one of the few (6?) UK supplied cars.
I know it dos'nt look right but would you go and spent 80 k on SQ and then trash it on tracks? ....... I know it would look good in photographs.
I seem to recall a genuine short sport with very low mileage getting binned at Castle Combe a few years ago... The viewing enthusiasts were not best pleased... The owner was probably in tears... Love them or loath them, the Sport Reps are probably the best thing that's ever happened for the genuine short sport cars.

They are so rare to see on the road so i'd be happy to see yours drive past it looks close enough and tbh its the arches etc that make it not the angle of the windscreen.
people forget its not just the angle of the screen thats different .what about the dash the left hand drive the recaros? list goes on.
also dialynx kit is from a rally car and not the road going version.
