    Rare as F**k 80

Cant say ive ever seen one of these before

http://rhrco.forumotion.com/rhr-projects-f3/1968-audi-80-variant-t5.htm I co-own it with a mate but neither of us have the time to do it. The Audi is rare as hell - a 1968 2 DOOR VARIANT WITH POPOUTS AND COLUMN MANUAL GEARS! Even Audi UK don't have one of these. Hardly any factory RHD cars in...

Looks surprisingly similar to its VW Variant cousin. I owned a 72 version one of these converted by Wizards, coolest car i've ever owned..will try and dig out some old pics.

That Audi's got some serious "Cal look" potential

I see audi were thinking ahead in 1965, obviousley expecting people to convert to reversed inlet manifold.(due to position of rad)

Oh, that's now clear about side mounted rad. This is a grandpa of S2 or A90

Gotta say - that thing is COOL - I had no idea they had ever built such a thing... With the right amount of TLC that could become a very special car indeed. Note the pop-out rear windows as well

Imagine the fun you could have with the looks of that but running on S2/RS2 running gear - BIG project or what... Can't imagine the amount of chassis strengthening required - what a hoot.

BIggest challenge getting that one ship-shape again is finding the parts for it. Cool though - hope someone makes it happen.

Paul is right, some modern running gear in that and it would be a show stopper! That is the sort of car I want when I grow up!

That was Brian Burrows old car. It was built by Paul Medhurst at Type 3 detectives and cost around £90k to build. It had oodles of one-off Carbon Fibre bits as well as all Porsche running gear.
It was at the Porsche auction (Barons or RM auctions or something like that) in the summer. Not sure what kind of price it went for, someone said ity was between £20k and £25k they think.
