car now in bits, putting new panels on and gonna give it a re-spray...original colour also going to change anything else needed to make the car cosmeticaly sound, then im going to move on to new suspension brakes bushes etc. here are the pics so far http://grou.ps/my_audi_quattro_s2_coupe/photos/

I see you have had a bit of a grilling on here so kudos to you for keeping your cool and not fighting back

I have just had a quick look through your pictures and I am no expert (particularly on early 3B's as I have a fairly late ABY) but this is what I noticed (pros and cons): -

- Stock and old suspension (at least one leaking damper)
- Stock brakes with old rubber brake lines
- Nice wheels, but replicas
- The most rotten rear subframe I have ever seen
- Old subframe bushes
- Rusting rear scuttle panel
- No aircon (?)
- Leather interior
- Fairly tired engine bay
- New main radiator (Nissan?)

I have to say that whilst the respray looks nice on the low quality shots and the panels look good I think £5k is a tad high in the current economic climate BUT that is just my honest opinion.....nice looking car though

Good luck with the sale or enjoy if you decide to keep it

many thanks HPmuirt but its not finished yet. there was no rot but some surface rust all been done now next job is to change suspension / bushes etc...all will eventually be replaced... i think really i want to keep it but like everything if you come across the right person they will pay what you want and if they dont like you say i will just enjoy it
