    A5 - S5 anybody ?

anybody buying an A5 or S5 shortly ?

i plan to switch to the next Audi coupe series shortly !!!

    i hesitate between A5 3.0 tdi quattro ( mtm can do 290 bhp) or S5 : a v8 my dream !!!

will we add a special tread for the owners ?

i intend to keep one S2 for good services given !

Planning on an A5 3.0 tdi as my next car, but gonna wait 12-18 months and pick one up second hand - unless one pops up at a reasonable price before then.

Well the S5 sure looks nice and sounds the part... Has anyone driven one - they are a heavy brute. But then Audi's aren't famed for being light !

              Yeah ?

Like we are all waiting for the R10 you mean

The RS5 will just have more oomf to counteract the excessive weight - call me radical, but sometimes I wish Audi would take a leaf from Porsche's book and create a stripped out bare-bones light weight chassis variant... Compromising creature comforts instead of safety or performance of course.

Makes you wonder what the dealership would do if you told them you wanted to trade in your 15 year old Audi Coupe towards a brand spanking new S5

                      Hey fella,

I've had my S5 for a couple of weeks now and absolutely love it. I think general reviews stating the car does what you want with less feedback to the driver than you'd like, are true but it's quick enough, sounds V8riffic and has all the goodies. Oh and it looks beautiful judging by the way EVERYONE looks at it! Buy a dark colour! Although I saw a white on ein the showroom which I very guiltily liked Saw a 3.0deisel the other day at it looked very nice too.

With the engine further back it has surprisingly made a big difference to the handling. I had a V6 TT when they first came out and it was awful around corners. This however is pretty good!

Let me know your choice. I'm still to take some pics to upload to the site but weather is poop at the mo

                      Cheers

Did u had a drive in the 3.0 tdi quattro too ??

I ll go for a dark grey or silver, black is very nice but u must clean it all time.

Is the feeling not too heavy as everybody says ?

I had also a test drive in a TT (2.0 T) an i found it really rubbish ! No felling back and handling quite poor !, and engine sound depressing, i never liked a 4 cylinder noise. When i got back from test drive i thought i would keep my S2 for another 10 years ! lol

I friend of mine is gonna buy the Volvo S60 R, i found it quite good, 300 hp, 3.0 litter 5 cylinders turbo and 4WD, impressive except for the design.

I will go for a test drive in A5 when i got some time... will post pics
