Castrol Syntec Top Shop Challenge

Anybody else following this? 7 American car mags have each chosen a shop to build an engine for an engine dyno shoot out. 034 have been chosen by EuroTuner mag and they are building a 7A based I5 turbo engine. The second video has just been posted and Javad says he is building the bottom end to rev to 12K

If they are using 'Casten's' manifolds then they should have no trouble

Whats the competition like? is there any limits on engine size or are other teams using 8leter V10's to meet there power needs?

Very interesting that their high power motor is going to have a completely standard crank....

Both video's are a great insight into 034, I had no idea what they go up to really!

Nice video, Javad was a lot more interesting to listen to, and came across as a more professional outfit than the others. Would be great if they had a TV show "Javads garage", something for the Audi channel thats actually worth watching

Question, thought those manifolds were made elsewhere and not by 034??
Just the 'custom intake manifold that "we've" cast' ? ?
