    Yeah, cubes mate

Turbos are a lot more tuneable but V8s have that low end torque that a tuned turbo engine don't not have boy!

      That it's not just a S6 V8 it's a rare and tasty S6 plus
The first "S" car built in Nekarsulm at "quattro GmbH"
S4 C4 was available in some markets with the V8 in option to the AAN
On the changing in facelift and name from 100/S4 to A6/S6 in Europe you could also buy for a period the S6 in two version:
      AAN or V8

The S6 Plus it's a thing on is on..... the production number it's very little less then a thousand pieces if i remember well.
The badges are looking very familiar and somebody could think that owner got them from an RS2.....
there's also a website and forum (interesting IMHO) just for the S6 Plus (in english also):
      http://www.s6plus.de/eIndex.htm
Main difference between a S6 and a S6Plus was the power developed by the 4.2 liters V8.
      276bhp for the S6
      326bhp for the Plus

Do any saloon ones of these exist? Or did they already feel that they had the Audi V8 (based on the 200)?

Saloon or sedan were also made.

I've only ever seen Avant ones for sale. One dark green, and the blue one that started this thread. I think I'd be tempted to chop my S2 in for a saloon S6+.

                    952 S6+ were made in 1997 and 97 of them sedans/saloons.
They came with a V8 producing 326ps/322bhp and 6-speed manual only. this V8 was later found in the S8, but with a different name.

Yes both saloon and avant. I remember reading the difference was a chip upgrade and something on the intake. I love that motor... They even accented the interior with some black chrome bits.
                      Cheers mis amigos,

Both the UrS4 and UrS6 were available with V8's in Europe. Then there was a one year only S6 plus (more hp). Check out this website for more info:

I bought a Plus, the 4,2V8 plus engine has a variable intake manifold and drives very smooth , it can make 7250rpm. Mechanical clearance instead of hydraulic slides at the intake-side. It has a shorter 4,5,6th gear. And it is not a Audi but a Quattro Gmbh
