    RS2 manifold

    Hello S2 friends.
I bought this manifold on Ebay. I have doubts that is an original.
    Can anyone help.

It looks original. Is the rust, cause it was used, or is it on this for no reason? The OEMs dont rust no matter how long you store them, only after they were used.

For a few months ago I have mounted a pair chip from Ultimot.de. The car got now 279 Horsepower. and 380 Nm. without overboost. 420 Nm. With overboost. - Price 135,- Euro
      Pressure with overboost 1,42 bar.
Will the new manifold give more power, or is it just better flows I get.
I am a bit worried with the original S2 manifold, because i drive a lot with my 1700 kg. caravan.
Therefore, I bought the RS2 manifold.

If it's original then it flows better, there's a thread with numbers in, thus it can't hurt as it should be more effieicent at higher engine loads (and boost). There will be a small tradeoff, I assume lower down where the S2 EM is more efficient but I doubt you'll notice any negative effects.

Good price on the chip and some reasonable numbers, shame they didn't delete overboost tho...

In a thread long ago it was mentioned that the orig part have a different looking part no on it. If this is true and my old pic shows the orig one, yours may be a copy.

I can't see the difference. Except for the color.

notice the difference in the distance between the 4 rings and the '034...' inscritption.in the original one the distance is larger.

The surfaces of the copy are too smooth also. Note the grainy the surface of the original compared to the copy.

No nickel content, the manifold will crack very easily and has about 1/4 to 1/2 of the life expectancy
