RS2 mirrors, cut holes??

Hi, im getting a pair of RS2 mirrors of my mate. he says that i have to make the hole in the door bigger. How much bigger are we talking?? And if i do decide to cut up my door if i ever want the OEM mirrors back on will they go on without the bigger hole beeing visable?? If anybody has any pics of the modification required i would be glad. I couldnt find anything searching the forums here. The loom that he has will fit straight on as the have been on a coupé before.

There is threads on here, its only the first hole iirc that you just have to enlarge with a file but you'd have to check the threads.

Rewire the cable yourself, it's very easy I did it at the Biling car show whilst S2Avant was helping me change mine.

Nice link there Jamo, One thing i havent found yet is how much i must enlargen the hole in the door... Has anybody got any measurements and before-after cutting pics??

Use the gasket as a template.
