engines are solid, 300bhp is easy....these I5's will work fine well into the 500hp's if using the correct rods, turbo, mapping etc.

the 5 pot motor is as solid as a rock and looked after will hit 200,000 miles expect to pay around a grand for an engine
never set your expectations to high that way you are never disapointed

I like the prospect of an I5 924 but be careful you dont upset the good weight distribution of them by fitting a longer engine

Can you not get 300 bhp from a 924 engine? i know it was origanaly a VW van/truck engine but the standard 2.5 is 220bhp if im right with a k26! Im sure this is dooable.

you say 300bhp now, but as you get hold of bits it's starts eating at you, gnawing its way in to your sole and spreading throuh your blood pretty soon you will want 350, 400, 450 etc................. its a 5pot thing I think!
Probably the longet S2 project in history EVER!

I think that depends on the maintenance you gave to the engine/car in those 200K miles! The big power potential of these engines is as good as the reliability potential of them too.

it's ok a friend of mine has a 20v ur with 205000 or more on the clock with original turbo so i would say you have another 5500 miles left
