L922 NSO - Audi S2 Avant in Bath area

A long shot but here goes:

L922 NSO - Audi S2 Avant in Bath area

I'm going to look at this car tomorrow and the current owner mentioned that a couple of folks from an owners/enthusiasts club had been and looked at it before.

So I was wondering if these folks were from this forum and if so what they thought of it? And of corse why they didn't buy it!

    Thanks in advance,

    Will

There's a thread on this car here as the current owner is a cameraman and this car was spotted a few times on TV. Other than seeing it on TV I don't think anyone knows anything about it I'm afraid. If you want a comprehensive buying guide then check out www.s2central.net , if you have any specific questions then ask away. You might even find someone with S2 knowledge to come and look at the car with you. All Audi in Brislington, Bristol know their S2s if you want an independent inspection locally.

Thanks Andy, I've already printed off the buyers guide from S2Central and I'm raring to go.

I've found out that it has had 8 previous owners which seems to be quite a few so thought I'd come on here and see what people thought.

It is a standard 1994 Avant at 145k with comprehensive recent service history. Externally and internally it looks very tidy. No Leather or aircon. It's had recent belts, bushes and service, the tyres and brakes have a fair bit of life in them. The back box of the exhaust has been replaced with an aftermarket replacement, not milltek.

What are peoples thoughts? What's the going rate?

      Thanks

This car is priced to sell. If it's in good condition then I think it was a fair asking price. If it needs no work then bonus. All the chips, exhausts, brakes and mods can come later but getting a good base car is all important. If your budget is £5-£6k you'll get some 17s, Porsche brakes, exhaust, full service and a Homefries in there for that, no worries Drive it as stock first, then you'll fully appreciate each upgrade
