I went to the Audi website and logged a complaint about their support for the "scrappage" issue, and the link I see to their attitude to older cars and the NLA situation. Below is the email response I got.
I don't have any experience of parts that are NLA, or with "Audi Tradition" and the website they mention... is it good news that they say a new website for old Audi parts is happening soon??

Re: Audi - Government Car Scrappage Incentive Scheme
Dear Mr Kxxxxx
Thank you for your recent email regarding your dissatisfaction with the above scheme, recently announced on our website.
Your concern at the effect this may have on the availability of spare parts for older, more classic models of Audi is understandable. We also share this concern.
You will, no doubt, be aware from both the content of our website and coverage in the national press, that this scheme has already been adopted across many parts of Europe and is expected to be adopted by the UK Government.
As the schemes across Europe vary from country to country and the UK Government has, as yet, made no firm proposal public, the exact operation of the scheme is not known. However, it would seem unlikely that true Audi devotees would take up this offer and dispose of their cherished vehicles. Equally, it would seem probable that those taking up the offer would dispose of their cars by scrappage in any case.
You will appreciate that whilst the Government will consult with various motor manufacturers and organisations, any decisions as to how the proposals will operate will be made centrally by the Government. Should you continue to have concerns as to how this may operate, you may wish to voice these direct with the Department of Transport, or your own Member of Parliament.
You may be interested to know that Audi, fully aware of the need to support the owners of their classic cars, has been working with Audi Tradition on the supply of spare parts and operates a spare parts depot, which manages about 7,000 parts. These can be accessed at the moment through the website: www.vw-classicparts.de or by email at: info@vw-classicparts.de .
To make the search for spare parts easier, Audi Tradition continues to work on a separate system for Audi owners, to make the search for spare parts and their ordering easier. A new website catering solely for this is under development and is expected to be available within the next few months. Please keep watching the Audi UK website for an announcement of its launch.
In closing, we trust this explanation will allay any fears you may have about Audi's commitment to our loyal owners and will reassure you of our continuing commitment to you.
Kind Regards
