Possibly a bit of fantasy works here - especially the alleged price. A mid engined roadster with 5 pot 2.5l turbo has some appeal though. Don't like the styling much - but its maybe a load of nonsense.
No real logic in the designation of this car ...the R8 only exists as a homage to the race car, and is totally at odds with all other road car designation in the Audi range. Ironically, the racing R8 GT car is actually project R16 (as it was the next car that followed the R15, which is this year's sportscar).

It's not better than sex, but it runs it a close second.
i'm still waiting for an S2 and RS2 to be rumoured. Sporting a 1.4TDI the new RS2 produces 3.5bhp, 3 more than the standard car. With 4 more US spec. cup holders and a new electronic safety device that stops you driving if there's an 'r' in the month...

Isn't this the Audi version of the new Porsche / VW / Audi platform-shared small sportscar? Think the idea is that it will sit below the Boxster in the Porsche range.

That looks very similar to the photos that were doing the rounds when they first announced the joint project with KTM a few years ago. Before KTM decided to go it alone with the X-Bow.
