Number of RHD RS2's built?

Does anyone know the definitive answer to how many RHD RS2's were built?

The reason I ask is because period UK car magazines stated that Audi UK had 180 RHD RS2's allocated to them. A number of people state only 180 RHD cars were built yet Audi New Zealand sold 13 new, as well as a number of other small batches to other RHD countries throughout the world.

So the question is, how many RHD RS2's were built, 180? Or 180 UK models plus the others spread out thoughout the world?

180 came to the UK. The worldwide total will be more, but I've no idea how many. Probably ~200

Its tricky to gauge this... if you think of all the `known` ones owned by forum members (here and on other sites) and you tot them up there probably amount 25-30 maybe a few more... then i hear on the grapevine theres an RS blue one thats in a barn covered in dust and cobwebs, thats another... a polar silver one is being broken on ebay again thats another one (albeit gone)... and then im casually walking around with Ian Simmonds looking at the cars at the Goodwoods breakfast club and we find again another unknown ragussa RS2. Id hazzard a guess theres 50 ish rhd RS2s still remaining out there.

~50 might be a bit low... I was thinking ~80 left but I have no evidence for that.

13 in NZ (all still about, including one that was exported to OZ and one that was exported to the UK)

How many to South Africa (in RHD form)?

What other RHD countries were RS2's sold new?

The Aussies must have got a handful too if the Newzies got 13, but then again - I don't know that for sure and I'm only aware of a few S2 owners from Oz.

Thats about it for RHD territory - South Africa or Saudi territory is the only part of that continent I would imagine had the wealth to order any. Unless some Nigerian internet businessman has a few stashed away.

I'd expect / assume Singapore to have got some, but for life of me can't remember if that is LHD or RHD territory.
Here's a weird one - did you know that in the US Virgin Islands you drive on the RIGHT but in LHD cars - that is freaky and downright dangerous !

Yes there is a white RS2 in Japan, along with at least another 3, all of which are LHD.

Australia never got any RS2's, only this one was exported from NZ to OZ:

In Singapore the drive RHD. Ive never seen or heard of any RS2's their though? Maybe someone else has?

Channel isles at least two mine & another on RS246. My guess is a few more. ? Isle of Wight ? included in UK numbers (IIRC Porsche magazine article)
