Got a rieger RS2 bumper in ABS plastic, put it on the car, looked great. got it painted looked marvelous, made brackets and all for a pair of borrowed indicators looked great. went to testdrive it just. wheel arch toutches the tire when ever the suspension moves, started to have a look (its only on the right side it rubs) then i see that the wheel arch isn´t properly round, and the bottom of the bumper is alot closer to the wheel on the right side than on the left. left side looks great. now i will have to cut a new radius to the bumper, this is the tricky bit. can this be done without having to respray the bumper yet again?? will try to take pics tomorrow to show you what i meen as it´s hard to explain.... Proper fed up now. any help is welcome.

Would it be possible to make the bracket on that side to slightly move it forward and away from the wheel? worth a shot as probably cheaper than cutting/messing with the bumper.Comment

The only thing you can do is to carefully trim the bumper bit by bit with a very sharp blade!! You could mark the bumper with a fine marker pen.
don't use tape as this might 'pull off' the paint on the cut edge! Tricky!
You could touch up the edge with matching paint, but do this slowly and build up the layers 1 by 1!
Can be done but takes a few of cups of tea!! lol.

Or as acidburn says move it the bracket! Or-
Loosen off the inner wing bumper bolts and the front bumper mount pull forward a touch and lift the bottom abit this will close gap by head light and open the gap a little at arch to bumper! its what we in the trade do to 'FETTLE' things lol!!N reg S2 coupeComment

Well it´s on now, fully functional and looking sweet! Thanks to my mate Mattias. had to trim one side of the bumper that runs down after the front wing with over 1/2 inch before it lokked normal and i could turn properly. we did this without a respray aswell! first/last time i´ll ever buy anything rieger.Comment
