I want an s2

Hi guys


Iv had an audi 9 coupe v6 and loved it... i now drive a mondey st220 its nice and reliable but im itching for an s2! i have budget of 4-5k

My only concerns are now reliabilty... they are getting on a bit and alot are well over 100k miles now.

This would be my daily hack 300 miles per week... is an s2 a bad idea? i would look after it and service it religiously i just want it to be reliable what do you think

Used to run mine 300 miles a week for work (and it was over 100k miles already), no issues other than what you'd expect for regular maintenance ....and the cost of fuel, haha!

Depending on driving style and journey type your looking at between a tank and a tank and a half at least for 300 Miles a week.
Your budget is good though, should get a good one for that.

honestly and speaking from a 3-400 mile a week owner a few years back, they absolutely are better doing regular work than they are being used as a 3rd car in my experience.

If you can stomach the fuel bills then absolutely no reason not to....heavy clutch can be a pain in crawling traffic but other than that no issues.

I used mine for something like 40k miles and other than a problem with the fan kicking in once that was the only major issue...

No reason why they are not as reliable as any other car!
Look after it and it will be fine. Get one with decent history and mileage isnt an issue atall

Mine has 180k miles on it and i do 400 miles a week and have done for 3 years and it's never let me down .
only down side is £400 fuel bill a month
