    Advice on RS2 Purchase

Hi there, this is my first post/thread. I have read a litle of this forum and you all seem very knowledgeable.

I really like the RS2 for every possible reason and I came across one for sale where I live, Portugal and I would like your opinions.

    LINK FOR THE SALE

It has 82000 km (low I guess) and costs 20 000 euros (he will sell for a lower price IMO)

Besides your opinion I would like to know what to look for when I go and see the car. any particular stuff this model is known for.

Sorry for my noobity, If you can please help me.

    Thanks a lot

Low miles, still seems a bit pricey and it would not have 410hp 370 at best, unless they have changed the turbo & maybe ex manifold & of course a remap. I would look very closely at the car before buying as it seems to be wrongly Described

    Regards
    RS 2 580HP

One thing to look for is aircond, that seems to be a rs2 issue, Leaks in the system and bad compressors. If it has been running in the winter and salty roads, brakes can also be a problem. Aluminium and salt are not friends. And yeah 410 hp is impossible with standard turbo.

RS2 turbo will do 400 bhp at 2 bar plus. I wouldn't buy a car though that had been running at those boost levels as the turbo be dead soon enough

Yeah 400 will be maxing it out so like jamo said its taken some abuse. See if its had a new turbo first or a rebuild.

            thanks

Ok thanks for all the advice.

You think it would help if I took the car to an audi dealer for a Pre purchase inspection, do they still know anything about this model?

I dont think he is runing all that power...just bragging maybe (?)
Cars in Portugal are way more expensive than everywhere else...it sucks.

He has painted the rims...is this reversable or an issue?
Anyway of knowing the wear on the engine? compression test or something?
Does the clutch hold well all this power?

Again thank you very very much

                Co2

Again, our stupid country tax over imported vehicles makes you cry. For you to have an idea anything over 5000 euros is expectable. On that matter, this tax depends on the CO2 emissions of the vehicle.

Does anyone know how many CO2 does the RS2 send out.

                Thanks.
