    Interesting POV....

It did have some draw backs, but TBH what I loved was the fact you turn the car from a town loving stop start - move 100 yards in 2 hours etc, to a full blown racer just with the flick of the tiptronic swith on the steering wheel.... Nothing else required....:mischeif:

I think it would be better with the 6/7 speed DSG box which I think they fitted to the V10 Rs6... correct??

i looked into a rs6 a couple of months ago even did some online insurance quotes. which was interesting some were cheeper that what i pay for my s2. what put me off in the end was i thought i was trying to buy something that was out of my leauge.not meaning the purches cost but overall running and service bills which reading the previos posts i think i would of been right. a bit like never meet your heros sort of thing
never set your expectations to high that way you are never disapointed

How much is a decent C5 RS6 in England these days?
Around here they are still costly, at £70K +
A very nice RS2 can be had for around £25K, and *******ized ones for less than £20K

RS2 gives more driving fun for user. But it's really harder in maintenance because some parts are dropped and discontinued.

You're talking £10-15k for either in the UK although it'd probably be high miler RS6 at that price. They do go upto around £25k for a nice RS6plus.

That is so cheap that it boggles the mind. You folks are lucky to be blessed with performance cars practically free of charge

I think it's common practice to depreciate cars etc to zero value over 5-7 years and this means everything follows. I suppose it keeps the car dealers profitable but robs normal people with the cost of depreciation.
On the plus side the entry cost for used cars is low.

You're probably wondering why we're even debating the pros and cons and complaining about running costs...we should count our lucky stars, stop moaning and go out and buy one...or maybe both...I wish I could!!
