  • RS2 front bumper painting

    Hi

I need to get my RS2 bumper resprayed after repairing 5 years worth of "accidentally" getting the lower lip caught over parking kerbs and in the process literally tearing it to pieces when reversing I really need to fabricate an undertray

I've been quoted £170 inc. which turns out to be £70 labour (£25/hr x 3), £75 for paint plus the VAT for just a top-coat of laser red.

    Does this sound reasonable?

sounds reasonable to me. it would cost ~$250 USD to respray a bumper here in the USA, so that's about 125 GBP.

Yeah, my belly pan that disappeared along with the original S2 bumper when I aquaplaned going down a steep downhill lefthander. I was thinking about a couple of sheets of ali but red PC in B&Q sounds even better . I feel a DIY weekend coming on

make sure its poly carb tho cause perspex is ***** and will crack when you try and drill it, and polycarb, if you have acsess to a sheet metal folder u can stiffen it up by putting a couple of folds down each edge
