    Re-linking the Audi alarm fob

I need some input please guys. My RS2 has it's original keys and alarm fobs, but for some reason the fobs don't work. I've been using the key which triggers a beep from the cars bum and one of the dash lights flashes, so it's in there and working, but I'd like to get the remote working. It has two buttons sided by side and on my old A6 (Similar fob) the left button would lock/unlock (never knew what the right one did). The RS2 fobs light up when pressed, but nothing.

Is there a sequence to re-link them to the car?

    Thanks in advance
    David

Hi David, did you manage to resolve this?
I have a similar issue - key fob's dont work and I'm looking to either linking the original alarm or an after market unit. Any suggestions on the type of alarm for these cars?

      Hi,

No it's still working from the key at the mo. Bizarrely on other RS2's I've seen with remote central locking they have sensors on the B pillars and mine doesn't have those. My A6 of the same year has the same fobs and that one works, so I'm positive they're from my car. The guys at MRC had a look when I took it there to see if they could connect it, but they couldn't figure it out either. I wonder if the factory alarm has been removed, but it still chirps on the key and the dash light flashes. Still scratching my head about that one.

If anyone does know please chime in

If you don't have sensors on B pillars, factory remote won't work on B4's

If it's the 'dealer fit' scorpion alarm with 2 black buttons on it, make sure the battery is good, turn the ignition on then off and then press the 2 buttons at the same time for 5 seconds and it should re-sync. Also if it has the ultra sonic deactivation slider on the side of the key fob, make sure that this either up or down and not half way.
Have you got a pic of the key fob ?
          Hope this helps....

I have a Gemini alarm and immobiliser, which does the doors also but no actual beep or siren, also have two push in immobiliser keys which one of the insides , the chip bit has fallen out. We're these a dealer fitted alarm?
