Would be a shame if they never put it into production even if it is very limited like the sports Quattro.

afaik they won´t build it in the next couple years. too expensive, and the development of the new a3 van is much more important for audi.
however, as i spoke to the guys from quattro gmbh and quattro drivetrain-development (the department who developed the concept of this car) they had major issues with the regulations of pedestrian safety. the I5 needs too much space, so they have the rearrange the complete engine bay and so on. and this is too much effort for just around 400 cars. and no one would buy such a car with a 2.0 TFSI inside.

If i does make production and ever becomes cheap enough for me to afford, i will own one!!!!!

This... Sadly, Audi raping the heritage parts bin again... Be utterly amazed if it makes production now... The concept cars historically make better marketing than production. Audi Spyder and Avus are classic points to prove....
