1991 B3 coupe opinion/advice

i bought my first audi at 21,it was a 10valve audi quattro coupe,at the time i thought it was gutless and looked into more powerfull cars,when i got a quote for the 7a 20valve it was exactly the same price!

defo go for a nice 7a,you really notice the difference with 170bhp compared to the lazy 133bhp engine

Hmmm... well it seems like the majority of you guys are reccomending the 7a, looks like im gonna have to get a quattro quotes are no different my end either. Love life !

Have you seen how much comprehensive cover is? I found it a lot cheaper than 3rd party. You do have a high excess though, something like £500 compulsory due to age, and up to £400 voluntary. If you can always have the money sitting in the bank it was worth it for me as it saved £300-£500/year.

Good point fella, however i just had a brief look and its coming up about £200 dearer than 3rd party, in all honesty, if im not looking to spend a lot on the car ... I only want the bare legal requirement ... just the compulsory piece of paper ... i live in a tiny little village where nothing happens ... however .. saying that ... last night some "travelers" decided to dump and torch there dihatsu 4x4 in the middle of the close ...

Same here. I got my s2 when I was 20 with 2 years no claims and I was only paying £680 fully comp with Admiral and another named driver on the policy. It's certainly worth shopping around when it comes to insurance. Good luck finding the right Quattro.

I only used it as it was cheaper with a big excess than third party only, my first 90 cost me £200, I only wanted 3rd party but that was more expensive. Go figure, insurance companies

Its all crazy ! on another topic, anyone know any cheap car transportation companies ? another thing i may have to consider, depending on distance.
